IMPORTANT 2009-2010 UPDATE: The 2009 first time home buyers tax credit has been extended! A first time home buyer that hasn't purchased within the past 3 years will be eligible for up to a $8,000 tax credit, but they must write a contact by 4/30/2010 and close by 6/30/2010.
In addition, repeat buyers are now eligible! If you have lived in your primary residence for 5 years, you are eligile for up to a $6,500 tax credit when you sell then buy another home.
